Day 5:  Visit the Three Sisters Fairy Chimneys and Pigeon Valley where local inhabitants carved out homes out of the rock for their pigeons similar to their own homes.  From the heights, descend to the underground city of Kaymakli, one of the largest and deepest of 200 such cities in Cappadocia.  Built in the 8th and 7th centuries BC they were safe refuges from invading armies over millennia.  Christians occupied them for protection against the Mongolian invasions. They were even connected by underground passageways. Cappadicia (B)
